* Check the selected objects.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://3220231080-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fi1rq90faFZetMGIspfq3%2Fuploads%2FLChnlthfMPsqPjyBdVKS%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=54879d34-2cf1-436b-8449-92a68ce1c83e" alt="" width="266"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

* Continue with the next step.

If you select multiple objects, each selected object will be monitored. The Smart Alert can be triggered as soon as the defined condition is met for one of the selected objects.

### Select signal

* The list of available signals opens.
* Select the signal you want to monitor.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://3220231080-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fi1rq90faFZetMGIspfq3%2Fuploads%2FqfmU95RJolzFFSPgBIiJ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=aef2d53e-9807-497c-b542-122fd838ef7a" alt="" width="262"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

* If necessary, specify how long the condition must be met.
* Check the condition you entered.
* Continue with the next step.

For the **configuration** the following **comparisons are available, for example:**

* greater than,
* less than,
* equal to.

Then define the **desired value**, for example:

* Engine speed greater than 1,500 rpm,
* Wind speed greater than 40 km/h,
* Travel speed equal to 0 km/h,
* Engine coolant temperature greater than 100 °C.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://3220231080-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fi1rq90faFZetMGIspfq3%2Fuploads%2Fdj2IyD3EZdIU13tX342w%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=784d430d-d7f2-4217-a0b3-fd9a1a6f585d" alt="" width="265"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

### Determine the duration of the condition

Specify when the Smart Alert should be triggered:

* **Immediately:** Trigger the Smart Alert as soon as the condition is met.
* **After a specific duration:** Trigger the Smart Alert only if the condition remains met for longer than the specified time.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://3220231080-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fi1rq90faFZetMGIspfq3%2Fuploads%2FrY5sqIZPdLryuK1LibbK%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=93e072af-3378-4673-acfd-02517613937a" alt="" width="264"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example:** Trigger the Smart Alert if the ropeway's travel speed remains at 0 km/h for longer than one minute.
{% endhint %}

Using a defined minimum duration helps prevent very brief deviations from triggering unnecessary notifications.

### Set active period

* Select when the Smart Alert should be active.
* Activate all-day monitoring or define a specific time period.
* Check the selected time period.
* Continue with the next step.

The following options are available:

* **Always active:** Monitor the condition without any time restriction.
* **Active within a specific time period:** Monitor the condition only during the specified hours.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://3220231080-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fi1rq90faFZetMGIspfq3%2Fuploads%2FApn5PoHeyBko5k8mNJTn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=8a4f71d1-860f-4e43-b839-875d1cb46407" alt="" width="263"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example:** Activate a Smart Alert for snow groomers only during night-time slope operation.
{% endhint %}

Set an active period to avoid unnecessary notifications outside operating hours.

### Select notification recipients

* Select one or more users.

<div data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://3220231080-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fi1rq90faFZetMGIspfq3%2Fuploads%2FTTKNAO6cio15z4ssnQZN%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=e795ff7f-6f31-464e-9435-b706fef31b74" alt="" width="264"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

* Check that all responsible persons have been selected.
* Continue with the next step.

When the Smart Alert is triggered, the selected users receive a push notification in the skadii Mobile App.\
\
Only the users selected in the automation **receive the corresponding notification**.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Make sure the selected users use the skadii Mobile App and have push notifications enabled on their smartphone.
{% endhint %}

### View and edit Smart Alert

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.skadii.com/documentation/docs-en/tools-and-functions/smart-automation/user-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
